CAM Posted June 10, 2014 Posted June 10, 2014 OK, I have tried this with IE11, I have tried this with Firefox, I've tried this with a mobile browser I have even been desperate enough to try this with a Wii U browser! I cannot for the life of me get the configuration page on my CISCO router to behave. Every time I try to use the menu, it jumps around and lands on the Wireless Settings. Click LAN Management, jump to Wireless Settings. Click QOS, jumps to Wireless Settings. Everything I do in the web interface it jumps to the Wireless Settings! Router is a CISCO Small Business RV110W. Does anyone know how to fix this? I've already tried compatibility mode, Trusted Sites and changing the user agent string with F12. I have no idea how to use Telnet with this, it won't even connect. I'm basically locked out of my configuration page thanks to rubbish design.
SYNACK Posted June 10, 2014 Posted June 10, 2014 (edited) I still have a bit of legacy hardware in use that I keep a SP0 XP VM just to configure as no modern browser can make sense of the thing - thanks HP - :S Also you are only getting about 40% of the goodness out of a cisco product max if you are using the GUI, it is native command line barely bilingual to GUI. CAM Posted June 10, 2014 Author Posted June 10, 2014 I'm trying to get QOS working on it but struggling. Can't seem to tell it "prioritise x and y" so Steam or other updaters stop killing video streams and gaming traffic. Restarting the router briefly worked to fix the GUI but it started doing it again as soon the window loses focus.
Arthur Posted June 24, 2014 Posted June 24, 2014 (edited) I've already tried compatibility mode, Trusted Sites and changing the user agent string with F12. Have you tried IE11's Enterprise Mode? It makes the browser emulate IE8. Edited June 24, 2014 by Arthur
