A newfound asteroid will safely pass Earth on June 8 from a distance of about 777,000 miles (1.25 million kilometers), more than three times farther away than our moon.

 

2014 HQ124 is known as 'The Beast' at some sites.

Diameter: Between 250 and 400 Metres

Orbital period: 0.79 Years

Closest approach to Earth: 1.25 Million Kilometres

 

Discovered: 23^rd April 2014
