Exchange EWS Issue

Hi Nick,

 

Just in the process of setting up HAP+.

 

I'm trying to configure the Outlook live tile, however when I hover over the tile this error comes up

 

 The request failed. The remote name could not be resolved: 'https'
This error has been logged on the server's event log

 

Nothing has been logged in the event log relating to this. Any solution to this?

You need exchange for the live tile to work, you need to set the exchange attribute of SMTP to point to your exchange server

EWS URL: https://has-exch.haslandhall.local/ews/exchange.asmx

User account is my account which I've set up for impersonation using

New-ManagementRoleAssignment –Name:impersonationAssignmentName –Role:ApplicationImpersonation –User:user.account

Domain is set to domain.local

And the password is my account password.

 

SMTP is set to our relay server, however it shouldn't need to use SMTP details for impersonation should it? All it should be doing is using the currently logged in users name & the impersonation connection string?

Thank you very much Nick for the quick reply, it's working now!

 

Would make sense in a future release to change the name on the setup gui of EWS url to something along the lines of Exchange Server URL?
