I’ve really had enough of iPads!

Over half term I updated them using Apple Configurator to 7.1.1 and it went surprizing well but I’m now finding that they are having problems connecting to the internet and indeed to the wireless network. On the iPads that do connect I am getting a popup that tries to connect to different sites and so far I’ve had airport.us, itools.info and thinkdifferent.us but as we are behind the Openhive proxy these sites as blocked as classed as sales so I get the block page instead. Google tells me this is something to do with a captive portal but it has rendered the ipads useless

Those sites are used by Apple - we had similar issues when we upgraded our iPads.

 

Once we whitelisted those site, all was good.
