Iain.Faulkner Posted May 19, 2014 Posted May 19, 2014 Morning all, I'm trying to get Stencyl to deploy via msi...I've built the package, and it installs fine, but I can only run the software when logged in as a Domain Administrator. I've done a normal non msi install as well and I get the same issue. Essentially when you run the software as a regular user, you get a windows installer window, please wait while Windows configures Stencyl which appears to complete fine....but then nothing else happens (there's no processes running in the background that I can see either). I've already increased user access to the Stencyl install folder (ie given them read/write ability), but this made no difference. Any suggestions? Thanks Iain
6Foot2 Posted May 19, 2014 Posted May 19, 2014 What are the permissions on the MSI? [the source] Before we were using SCCM and we were deploying MSI applications via Active Directory/Group Policy students were not able to run Acrobat Reader 9.? until I changed permissions on the MSI to allow students access to it. After that: Happy days. It might be worth having a look if you haven't already? HTH.
