This is a key IT/ICT role focused on Management Information Systems at our South East London Academies foundation.

 

About Us

Serving local communities in South East London, the Haberdashers’ Aske’s Federation is a flourishing family of three all-through 3-18 academies: Crayford Academy, Hatcham College and Knights Academy. All of our Academies have at ICT specialism, and we encourage extensive use of ICT among both staff and students.

 

The role

Working withinour corporate services team, you will have the crucial responsibility ofensuring Federation MIS Systems are operating reliably for all users.

 

This will involve managing all technical functions, fault resolution services and day-to-day security and data matters. You will be aiming to guarantee a high level of customer service with issues resolved in a timely manner with minimum disruption.

 

The Federation expects its IT Service to embrace new technology, while ensuring that its existing systems remain dependable - you will assist in the ongoing review, development and testing of systems.

 

You will also provide training, advice, and expert assistance to end users, and contribute to the MIS Training Plan and MIS Maintenance Plan & Road Map.

 

The requirements

 

Your technical experience should include managing Microsoft SQL Servers, using Sims modules, carrying out Sims Upgrades and Patches and using a range of School MIS systems – plus a knowledge of TCP/IP and both wired and wireless networking.

 

You will alsobring experience of procurement, managing budgets and managing small projectsof work. You will have the skills to line manage an IT assistant.

Calm in a crisis,you will have a logical approach to problem solving and lots of initiative.

Knowledge of any of the following is advantageous.

VMware vSphere4/5, RM CC4, EMC and HP SAN Technologies, Apple Mac OSX Server and Workstation,Supportworks Helpdesk Software, Microsoft Exchange, HP and Dell Severs, WAN Technologies, Microsoft Installer Packages, AvayaACM IP Telephony, Salto Access Control, IP CCTV.
