I find it amazing that two decades later and BT are now only just installing fibre to the kerb! why fom a profit point of view (which is what they care about) why not run your copper until you absolutely have to replace it? in most cases its bt lines or mobile as apart from new estates next to existing network has anyone seen virgin (or theor precursors) cable up any new areas since the mid 90's?
