Sheridan Posted April 23, 2014 Posted April 23, 2014 I've set our Chrome policy to prevent users signing into google using the two settings below: 1) Allows sign in to Chrome = disabled 2) Restrict which users are allowed to sign in to Google Chrome = *@madeupdomain.com Yet they can all still sign in to google from the google homepage? Is this the wrong setting or does it just not work?
Kenny_G Posted April 23, 2014 Posted April 23, 2014 Signing into chrome and signing into Google homepage are different things. Google Chrome allows users to sign in to Chrome, so things like bookmarks and passwords are transferred to every computer when they sign into chrome. Signing into Google homepage will allow user access to gmail, drive etc Can you not ban accounts.google.com? 1
Sheridan Posted April 23, 2014 Author Posted April 23, 2014 I've just realised I've misread those settings! We can't block accounts.google.com as we use google apps/gmail
Sheridan Posted April 23, 2014 Author Posted April 23, 2014 Apparently we can use our smoothwal box to only allow users to access our google apps domain, but I'm not getting very far in getting that to work!
