Jose Posted April 21, 2014 Posted April 21, 2014 Ok guys Have a strange issue with netgear vlans and DHCP, DHCP on the vlan with the dhcp server works fine for both startup and IPconfig /renew, all clients can get a ip and also renew it fine on the default vlan. DHCp works fine on all the vlans when a client boots up, if we disable the nic and reable it works fine. The issues is when clients on remote vlans try to ipconfig /renew and request a new ip. This fails. Can anyone help ? Jose
Asgard Posted April 21, 2014 Posted April 21, 2014 (edited) Have you set the relay agent in your layer3 switch to tell it to route all of your dhcp traffic to your DHCP server? We have the 6 x GSM7352Sv2 as our core, soon to be replaced with 4 x XSM7224s and we had to set two settings; 01. System > Services > DHCP Relay Enable Admin Mode 02. System > Services > UDP Relay Server IP and select DCHP in the UDP settings Edited April 21, 2014 by Asgard
