Technology Specialist - Home Based - Ideally West Sussex or Hampshire - £25k-£27k

A Technology Specialist is required to provide technical services for schools in a defined region, as well as providing backfill capacity for school staff in exigent circumstances.

 

To be considered for this role you will have:

 

A good knowledge of the major technologies typically deployed to schools, including wireless and wired networking, server infrastructure, audio-visual, end-user devices and common software;

Detailed knowledge of networking and server systems, with the ability to trouble-shoot and resolve issues;

Experience of supporting schools and Central Office staff in the procurement and implementation of technology projects;

Experience of the schools sector and the day-to-day as well as more strategic challenges faced by schools in the use of technology;

Knowledge of the processes, skills and tools needed to run a highly effective on-site technical support service;

The ability to provide one-to-one training to school technical staff in common processes (backup, identity management, etc) and trouble-shooting/ resolution of common networking and server issues;

The ability to influence and manage others, including school network managers, technicians and technology contractors/ suppliers;

Good communication skills and a strong ‘team’ approach to working with other professionals supporting the schools.

Salary: £25k-£27k
