The Role

 

As a specialist ICT Academy, we put IT at the heart of learning - it is also fundamental to the running and management of the school. Taking the role of site IT Manager at Crayford, you will have the vital responsibility of ensuring IT services are delivered reliably and safely for both staff and students. This will involve carrying out regular on site checks and ensuring our centralised Federation helpdesk resolves requests with minimal disruption. You will also support the use of IT for various school events, as well as taking care of issues such as data protection, online security and software licensing. In addition, you will contribute to systems development and advise the Principal on IT's role in the future of the Academy.

 

The requirements

 

You need good knowledge of TCP/IP, wired/wireless networking and AV Systems (the ability to work at height is a must). You will have the skills to manage and develop our IT Technician. You will also be a well organised self starter with a logical approach to problem solving and good communication skills.Experience of any of the below is an advantage.Support Works Helpdesk Software / 3Com and HP Switching Products / Trapeze Wireless Networking / MS Exchange / RM Community Connect / VMware vSphere 4/5 / EMC and HP SAN Technologies / Sims / Apple Mac OSX Server and Workstation / Dell and HP Severs (including Blade) / HP Workstations and Laptops / WAN Technologies / MS Installer Package / Avaya ACM
