visioN Posted March 18, 2014 Posted March 18, 2014 (edited) Hi all, got an issue with my VDI-in-a-box installation. I've downloaded the trial and installed it on an old PC. core2due, 4gb ram, plenty of storage. Wacked on ESXi 5.0 and installed VDI Manager on it. I've created an image and assigned it to a template. VDI Manager has 512MB RAM. The image template has 1GB of RAM. Advanced properties, miscellaneous, max server load is at 200 (changed it due to my error) And the error I'm getting it; Desktop unavailable Sorry, there are no more desktops available. Please contact your administrator in VDI manager: User [email protected] failed to log in: exceeded max desktops for template 'Head Office' I can't even get 1 virtual desktop running! Does anybody have any ideas? Saw online some one suggested changing the max server load from 80% to 200% Edited March 18, 2014 by visioN
SYNACK Posted March 18, 2014 Posted March 18, 2014 Not a solution but have you looked at Multipoint Server 2012, this does VDI on a single box and can even offer them out over the local GPUs but is much more stable over RDP.
