HaleStorm Posted March 17, 2014 Posted March 17, 2014 Hi guys I'm hoping someone else has experienced this issue as finding a solution is driving me mad. We have a IWB with a Hub attached for a wireless slate. The teachers pen works on the slate to control the PC fine, however the same pen will not work to control via the IWB surface. Is the pen locked to being slate use only? If so can it be unlocked? I've tried all the normal troubleshooting Machine/Board restart and full power off Uninstall and Reinstall of latest ActiveDriver and ActiveInspire Reboot without the hub connected Checked for and upgraded to latest available firmware I've run out of ideas now and hope someone can tell me something I've missed/useful Cheers guys
Gaz Posted March 24, 2014 Posted March 24, 2014 Only the hub and the slate should be paired the pen is independent. Have you tried another pen? Is dual user enabled?
plexer Posted March 24, 2014 Posted March 24, 2014 What version board and what version slate? You're not using a slate with a new version board are you? The slate pen would be the old version pen and it will not work on a new board. Ben

HaleStorm Posted March 26, 2014 Author Posted March 26, 2014 Its a 300 series board...about 3 1/2 years old, Dual user mode is enabled, it just seems to be this 1 pen...I think the pen is faulty as I stole...i mean borrowed a pen from the next class room along, with the same setup and it work perfectly on the slate and the board.
Gaz Posted March 26, 2014 Posted March 26, 2014 The board should be fully compatible in that instance then. I have experienced pens working in some situations before, which is why I asked if you had tried another pen. Dual user mode isn't required but it could be a work around to get it working.
