Sheridan Posted March 3, 2014 Posted March 3, 2014 I'm about to rollout Chrome (being force by our vle!) and I've setup the administrative templates to get proxy settings etc all working. That part works fine, but theres a problem wher Chrome allows students to browse the C: drive (or any other mapped drive!) - now, although they NTFS permissions should protect the system I'm not keen on this at all. Is there any way to block mapped drive browsing in chrome, with or without administrative templates?
Kenny_G Posted March 3, 2014 Posted March 3, 2014 Within "Block access to a list of URL's" policy block file://* 1
Sheridan Posted March 3, 2014 Author Posted March 3, 2014 Ahh thanks - I'd seen that but I'd mistakenly thought that those lists were more designed for use when proxy filtering wasn't available. Works a treat and also stops access to SMB shares as well.
