Bubbles Posted March 3, 2014 Posted March 3, 2014 Has anyone used the new CyanogenMod automatic installer on a Nexus 5? if so, did you encounter any problems or did it run smoothly? [h=1][/h]
zag Posted March 3, 2014 Posted March 3, 2014 I'm thinking about getting this phone, isn't the OS vanilla android so there is no need to use another ROM?
Bubbles Posted March 3, 2014 Author Posted March 3, 2014 It is stock Android, but does not have some of the features that CyonegenMod has such as lock screen shortcuts.
Arthur Posted March 3, 2014 Posted March 3, 2014 (edited) I'm thinking about getting this phone, isn't the OS vanilla android so there is no need to use another ROM? There are lots of reasons to install a third-party ROM (even with a Nexus 5), although these days you can get a lot of the same features using the Xposed Framework and modules like GravityBox.
