TechSupp Posted February 28, 2014 Posted February 28, 2014 Whats the easiest way to print off a range of images that may be all different sizes out at a set specific size say 4cm x 4cm and possibly fit 4 to a page
Cache Posted February 28, 2014 Posted February 28, 2014 When I had to do this recently, the built in Windows Print Picture option worked pretty well at sorting it out. 1
vikpaw Posted March 3, 2014 Posted March 3, 2014 I used to just open up the image in windows viewer and then hit print, it used to let you multi-select a load of photos and the put x to a page. It stopped doing this, i think when we switched to Win7. I just had a quick play via Office Picture Manager and it works how it used to Thanks @Cache i wouldn't have checked if it wasn't for your post, and also, it works to just multi-select a load of pics in a folder and right click print. It does help to have them at a decent size to begin with else you get lots of space and borders, but it does the job if you must rescale them on the fly. I use Office Picture Manager to bulk resize or format if required, and that is really easy if you have Office installed.
TechSupp Posted March 3, 2014 Author Posted March 3, 2014 Yes, got office and have done it with picture manager but just wondered if there was anything else that would have done it without the resize step i.e print these selected pictures at such a size and if small enough fit more than one to a sheet. Thanks for looking anyway.
vikpaw Posted March 4, 2014 Posted March 4, 2014 When printing through Adobe Pro, you can do custom scaling to fit multiple pages to a sheet, it's not ideal, and might require Pro, but you could try something like that if it's a repeat task. Some of the freeware might allow it, or just a straight option in the print prefs. You'd want a 5*7 layout for A4 to get the approx size you needed.
TechMonkey Posted March 4, 2014 Posted March 4, 2014 Use the built in Print Wizard in Windows 7. Resizes automatically depending on how may to a sheet you want.
vikpaw Posted March 4, 2014 Posted March 4, 2014 But it only has a fixed set of options - so if you want 5*7 you can't do it. Or can it...? Maybe there is a registry tweak - but i doubt it's that simple.
TechSupp Posted March 4, 2014 Author Posted March 4, 2014 Yes I know I can set it to print so many to a sheet but it chooses the size of the image for me, I want to set that for a specific reason, then print so many per page. The photos need to be a specific size (square actually).
