Joomla On WAMP Online

Hi,

 

I have tranfered my joomla site to an internal server and have it working correctly, when i put the wamp site online and try to view it from another computer on the network it does not display correctly. It only shows the text.

 

Can anyone help?

Are you using a different address by any chance? eg when browsing internally using local hostname and then using the external domain name you loose formatting and just see the txt?

That sounds about right. At the moment it is on a server called sharepoint.

When browsing on that pc i use "localhost"

 

When browsing from another, ive tryed http://sharepoint and http://IPADDRESS

 

 

What should i be using to browse the site?

You need to open the configuration.php file of the site and change the live site address to the one you want to use. EG:

 

{code}http://sharepoint{/code}

Another Favour Please!

 

How can i remove the spacing above the header? As i wish to have my header at the top of the page. I have tried adjusting the template css but it seems to havbe no effect. i have also placed a larger picture there and the same with that. I did force the refresh of the page each time.

 

Any help would be gratefully appreciated!

I've solved it now. It was to do with the css.

I was just adjusting the wrong part. At first i dint realise that i there was another image at the top.

 

I had to adjust the padding for the background.png to 0px instead of 9px.

Simple really!
