Windows ADK 8.1 and the Infinite Download

Gargh - trying to get MDT 2013 up and running and ran across this dropkick pack of software. Not only is it something like 5.6GB but it seems MS are hosting it on a pack of recycled netburst P4's in the middle of a desert somewhere over a 56k modem. I have been trying to download it for three days now over various connections including a 100MBIT fibre and its lovely almost feedbackless downloader app keeps failing out silently and failing to resume. Why oh why can't they just release an ISO if their servers and/or developers are not up to making an install pack.

I think I have a PowerShell script somewhere that will download the entire ADK via BITS. I'll see if I can find it when I get home as it might help.

I take it your downloading the source files not installing it.

You are right about the slowness! I just tried downloading it myself and it's painfully slow.

The whole of msvlc and windows update must be run on a p4 with a 1mbps connection.

Thanks for all the replies, I seem to have got it eventually but needed to leave it overnight on a link that was doing nothing else and had no proxy or anything that would confuse it.
