kearton Posted January 29, 2014 Posted January 29, 2014 I've just tried to access part of the Microsoft Volume Licensing Service Center using Chrome, and got this message: Internet Explorer 5.0 and above are the only supported browsers for this portion of the site. Please install Internet Explorer 5.0 or higher; or use a machine with one of these browsers to access this portion of the site. Windows 98, 2000, NT, and XP are the only supported operating systems for this portion of the site. Please install Windows 98, 2000, NT or XP; or use a machine with one of these operating systems to access this portion of the site. The IE bit I can understand... but apparently I need to downgrade from Windows 7 too? (Time someone updated the error messages, methinks ) 1
Arcath Posted January 29, 2014 Posted January 29, 2014 https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/user-agent-switcher-for-c/djflhoibgkdhkhhcedjiklpkjnoahfmg ^^ See if using that to become IE makes it change its tune.
SYNACK Posted January 29, 2014 Posted January 29, 2014 Given how flimsy the MVLS site is I would not be supprised if it really was dependant on XP for some stuff, it is a horror show.
free780 Posted January 29, 2014 Posted January 29, 2014 I found a broken link on a ms site. Going to https//microsoft.com/etc . No colon. Nice one ms.
