abillybob Posted January 28, 2014 Posted January 28, 2014 Hey Guys We have a netbook which we use for the unit but it keeps loosing the date and time from the BIOS, this wouldn't be a problem as they can just click F1 to continue but then it doesn't keep the time on windows causing certificate error's all the time on every website you browse too. I replaced the CMOS battery for a new one but still no avail? It remembers it as long as the netbook is plugged in to a power source but as soon as it's disconnected it looses it again! The main battery on the back in knackered could it be this? Cheers
jallsop Posted January 28, 2014 Posted January 28, 2014 Yep. Main battery not holding charge can do this. Usually replacing the Main Board battery should be a fix. Maybe test the battery or replace with another.
