Network Manager – City of London - £150-200 per day negotiable

Network Manager required for established local authority secondary school in East London/City area. The position requires someone with a technical background but strong strategic/management capabilities to lead a small team of technicians and take responsibility from senior leaders for the smooth running of the curriculum network, library and administration functions. Tasks include day to day management of the support functions, monitoring performance, planning changes and upgrades, maintain the overall capabilities of the network, consult with various staff as required, manage helpdesk, library resources management, prepare annual maintenance plan etc

 

The school have a vanilla windows network including server 2008, exchange, sims, whiteboards, wireless etc. Experience of managing networks in an educational setting is essential as is being able to secure an appropriate DBS check and previous work references etc

 

The role is to start asap and is expected to contract until the summer holidays at least and could go permanent long term pending a review of the role
