The_Oracle Posted January 7, 2014 Posted January 7, 2014 Hi All, We currently have remote access through RDWeb running on Windows Server 2008R2. I can connect inside the network using the Microsoft RDC app for OS X but when I try and connect from outside the network I get a message saying "Connection reset by peer". I'm new at OS X so am just finding my way round things. However I did setup the Heads MacBook Air using iTap last year and that works fine. That laptop has not been upgraded to Mavericks, and iTap is no longer available so I don't know if the problem is Mavericks or Microsoft's version of iTap. Can anyone point me in the right direction?
zag Posted January 7, 2014 Posted January 7, 2014 You dont need to use RDweb, just use a normal Remote Desktop connection for the app on Mac.
The_Oracle Posted January 8, 2014 Author Posted January 8, 2014 Thanks Zag, unfortunately I get the same message. I'm using the Microsoft Remote Desktop app to connect to servername.internaldomain.local through a gateway of remote.externaldomain.com. If I connect from inside the network (so not through the gateway) everything is fine, but once I try going through the gateway I get the error message. Works fine on both my iPad and my android phone. There must be an event log somewhere - nothing like learning on the job!
