Tom Medland, from Brentwood emails: Stuck at Gatwick airport. Flights delayed and cancelled. Almost zero communication from British Airways and Gatwick staff on the ground were doing a good job but had no information from the airlines. Looks like the BA staff had all gone home for Christmas, but they forgot that their customers wanted to do the same thing. Police had to man the information desk in the end.

Reminds me when I was stuck in Boston due to a broken plane. Last flight due out. All staff buggered off and when the flight didn't go they had to get night staff to help out...
