Android Tasker turns on Bluetooth+Music when driving. I need help with the exit task.

I have a Tasker task that automatically enables Bluetooth, turns up the volumes and plays some music when it detects I am driving in my car, the only issue is every once in a while it turns everything off when it thinks I have stopped moving which is a pain if I have just stopped for a few mins for some reason.

 

I need to create an exit task that checks if I am on a phone call or playing music before it decides if it should run the exit task, but I have no idea how to do this bit.

 

Anyone using Tasker that can help.

I guess its using GPS to detect the location ? If you use an additional program like NFC Retag and a RFID sticker it will trigger Tasker tasks.

Would be great to have a play with NFC tags, not something I have used before. They should ship some with a new phone so the system is more widely used.

they are only about £10 for a dozen tags and thats from maplin so im sure you could get them for less

 

been having a bit of a play with them doing school posters that have nfc tags to e-mail / phone / go to website (yes i was bored). Looks like on android they can do all sortd one day hopefully they will be as useful on windows / windows phone

I have been playing about with this for a few weeks now, so very cool. The only bugger is NFC tags store such small amounts of information it is practically worthless other than task initiation.

Which tags do you use out of interest? From what I have read, Mifare Classic tags can store approx. 700 bytes but aren't compatible with all phones, whereas NTAG203 and Topaz 512 tags are but only store 140 bytes and 450 bytes respectively.

I have the Mifare classics which mostly generic, but there is a Mifare variety that stores over 1KB (listen to the excitement), but are very incompatible. I wanted to play with storing a contact card on one but even that was too much... The idea being a command to create a contact with email phone and Web address...

 

I might play and have something set up for bett

i managed to export a contact to the ones i have and have it read by another phone no issues

You can... However it all depends on the contact card format used, which is very unstandard across devices. If you want to create a generic contact add and details you generally run out of space.

 

Best I have got is an email and phone number and name... For a cool networking slant it isn't quite enough (I was going to put some tags onto business cards!)
