Hi

i have a strange request and dont know where to look or how to start.

basically in a nut shell, i have a new wireless system, im going to start dishing it out throughout my work place,

our local LEA has a bloxx system in place which is filtering websites,

now if i attach my android phone or tablet to the wireless network, how can i find out the web address an app is trying to reach, some apps are being blocked by "Bloxx" filtering system, if i could find out the web address its trying to reach i could unblock it

baring in mind that our local LEA are not always quite efficent on trying to get back to us on a problem so id like to know if its something i can find out on my side!

do i need an app to tell me or can i install a program on my server to check the web addresses?

ive never really looked into this untill now!

Hope some one can help me :)

Thanks

Theres also a packet capture app. Just a word of warning android doesn't like authentication with proxies.

Also some apps completely ignore the proxy setting.

Im not too confident in rooting my phone. I have a samsung galaxy s3. If I was to root it. Is there any hidden nasties I should look out for?
