jonwitts Posted November 20, 2013 Posted November 20, 2013 I may well be looking in the wrong place; but I cannot seem to find any Upgrade Documentation for HAP+ anywhere. We are currently on version 9.1.501.1430 and I was going to try and upgrade to version 9.7 today. I have downloaded the zip file and realise that I will have to reapply all my changes to the CSS files after the upgrade, but I am unsure where to go next. Is there a definitive upgrade document and am I OK to jump from version 9.1 straight up to version 9.7 or do I need to apply every upgrade file incrementally? Thanks in advance, Jon
jonwitts Posted November 20, 2013 Author Posted November 20, 2013 That's great Nick... but what do I need to do to apply the update? Is there an upgrade doc somewhere? Jon
nickbro Posted November 20, 2013 Posted November 20, 2013 Extract the zip file over the top of your install, HAP+ will upgrade it's config if any changes have been made. Back up 1st. You should be able to use a file diff program to compare the two files to find out what has changed to be able to restore your css changes
jonwitts Posted November 20, 2013 Author Posted November 20, 2013 I have just done that Nick and I now get a JavaScript pop up when opening every page saying "Internal Server Error". Do I need to adjust any file permissions after overwriting with the upgrade ones? Jon
nickbro Posted November 20, 2013 Posted November 20, 2013 You may need to restore your web.config file 1
jonwitts Posted November 20, 2013 Author Posted November 20, 2013 That did it! For good measure I also reapplied these steps from the version 9 documentation: 28. Right click HAP and select properties 29. Deselect readonly and click ok. Allow it to reset every readonly attribute 30. Add the permission: a. IIS AppPool\HAP (Findable from the Local Machine). Set them to Read & Execute permissions b. App_Data Folder: Set to Read & Write Now on to restoring my CSS changes ;-)
