In this pivotal role you will provide proactive and reactive 1st line technical support, and act as first point of contact for ICT. The post requires some practical skills, knowledge of Microsoft & Apple applications and operating systems plus an aptitude to maintain & repair ICT furniture. Other duties will include providing 1st line technical support for staff and students, taking and recording support requests from users either over the telephone, the ICT Helpdesk, or in person and escalating to appropriate members of the ICT Team as required. You will also support the team with ICT administration duties including ordering, invoice processing and ICT asset register maintenance. The successful candidate will be an excellent communicator and will possess a good standard of education including GCSE (grade A*-C) or equivalent, maths and English. Knowledge of keyboard and computing skills as well as an understanding of Microsoft Windows 7 & 8 and Microsoft Office 2010 is essential. Good practical, organisation and administration skills are required along with commitment to continuous improvement and change.
