Controlled Assessments in ICT

The issue of additional accounts for Controlled Assessments has come up over the last couple of days (no idea whats been happening up until now, nobody has every asked me for anything!). I've got most of it worked out, but I have a problem with ICT lessons. Apparently, students do practice assignments (which are all done on their normal user accounts) and are allowed to use notes from these during the controlled assessment.

 

My problem is how to allow them access to their own documents on their normal user account from their controlled assessment account. At the moment, my only solution is to manually match up the 2 accounts, problem is there are over 900 accounts!

 

Anybody have any clever ideas on how to do this?

I was going to say create a shortcut to each user area but then you would need to set the permissions on each folder.

Yep... I was thinking of running a script with %username% on the end, but as you say you still need the permissions in place first

We have a sql backend with a vb script that is ran when they get logged on we have setup separate user accounts as well eg x13 amd staff can go to a web portal that we created to open after school sessions too

 

We have had some kids where we have had to completely lock out office grammer spell check and under controlled conditions works quite well
