Free Windows virtual machines for testing

I found this excellent article on PCLOS magazine

It explains how you can download a free, fully functional copy of Windows (various versions available) for testing.

 

The caveats are that it's for testing only and that the machines have a 90 day expiration.

you can in theory just use the normal ms cds and use slmgr / rearm to give you 90 days anyway on win7/8 iirc

thrice iirc but thats 30+30+30+30 so 120 days wnough for most testing i would of thought
