MrMat Posted September 24, 2013 Posted September 24, 2013 In need of some advice please guys and gals. Secondary school with a new server running Windows Server 2012 and SQL 2008 R2 is getting the following error when some users try to log in: Restarting the server seems to fix the error temporarily however after a few hours it seems to start rearing it's ugly head again. Both TCP/IP and Named Pipes are enabled. Server has plenty of RAM etc. Any ideas on this one? I'm stumped. Thank you.
pleach85 Posted September 24, 2013 Posted September 24, 2013 you could try adding commandtimeout = 10000 to your connect.ini if its not already there seemed to help in this similar post http://www.edugeek.net/forums/windows-server-2000-2003/44608-upgrade-sql2005-express-error-executereader-requires-open-available.html (see 2nd post) 1
