Squelch Posted September 11, 2013 Posted September 11, 2013 Hi everyone, I would like to show information from the booking system on our digital signage but I am unsure how to proceed. I would like to pass the url of the booking system straight to our staffroom display screen but of course this would just sit at the login page instead of showing the bookings. Is there a simple way to achieve this? Thanks in advance.
nickbro Posted September 11, 2013 Posted September 11, 2013 The url is /hap/bookingsystem/%resource%/display You can also do 2 rooms with /hap/bookingsystem/%resource%_%resource%/display, if you edit the ~/bookingsystem/display.aspx file. The %resource% is case sensitive 1
Squelch Posted September 13, 2013 Author Posted September 13, 2013 Ah, it *was* working... When I try to view "IT Suite 2" I get this: Server Error in '/HAP' Application. The (&(objectClass=user)(sAMAccountName=)) search filter is invalid. Description: An unhandled exception occurred during the execution of the current web request. Please review the stack trace for more information about the error and where it originated in the code. Squelch Posted September 13, 2013 Author Posted September 13, 2013 If I try to view other resources in the booking system, i.e. "IT Suite 3" or "Minibus1" it displays correctly, it's just it suite 2 that errors.
Squelch Posted September 13, 2013 Author Posted September 13, 2013 Nevermind, I found the answer myself. I had made static bookings for a user and needed to add the user in the AD part of the setup. The error seems to be the booking system saying it cannot find the specified user.
nickbro Posted September 13, 2013 Posted September 13, 2013 Yep, error is AD related. You can use the Notes field in AD to say Mr N Brown instead of Nick Brown if you want
