Does anyone else think its a bit of a coincidence that there have been major outtages at Microsoft, Google, Apple, Amazon, eBay, Nasdaq in the last few days, so soon after all that Snowden/NSA stuff came out - and today I'm having problems on my newsgroups....

Could just simply be works going on during the summer - sysadmins the world over deciding that August is a good time to do upgrades.
