v7.9 to v9.4

I probably should have looked for upgrades sooner, but v7.9 has been running without issue since I installed it over a year ago. All that it is being used for is remote home folder access. Is there any benefits to upgrading if we're only using the the one feature? Would it be possible to standup the new version on the same box as the old side by side, or would it be more practical to spin up a new VM? Thanks guys! This piece of software has certainly made my staff's lives easier, and by extension, mine too!

v8 introduced a new AJAX based file browser, v9 introduced a new full width theme.

 

You can setup HAP as another virtual director, hap2, copy the hapConfig.xml file over and away you go, it 'should' upgrade itself
