edutech4schools Posted July 11, 2013 Posted July 11, 2013 Firstly, I know others have asked I-Pad questions but I did not want to hijack those posts and have some other questions that will probably follow from this post. The school have asked me to look at getting 6 I-Pads (or Android). They have not told me how much but knowing how little money this school has I suspect they will go with the Androids anyways. What is the cheapest way of managing the I-Pads from an apps point of view, taking in to account the fact that the school does not want to enter the schools credit card details into any of them? I believe that they would need to have Apple configurator but that would also need an I-Mac, which pushes the cost up., is this correct? Also, how do I purchase an I-Pad for a school? I was going round and round on the Apple site.
jamiehill1231 Posted July 12, 2013 Posted July 12, 2013 We currently use Apple Configurator to deploy and Meraki system Management to manage...Totally Free !!!
rich_tech Posted July 12, 2013 Posted July 12, 2013 (edited) meraki here for our SMT ones, departments are their own responsibilities for now. Think you can download apple configurator for windows too, no need of an imac iirc, we manage ours without one here. Edited July 12, 2013 by rich_tech
