So I'm thinking about donning the marigolds and performing some preventative maintenance on devices.

Do you have a cleaning regime in place for keyboards/PCs/projectors? If so, how often do you clean them? Any tips or recommended products?

We clean our projector filters every end of term, it should really be every half term. We use a portable hoover we got from Tesco, and also compressed air.

We only really clean out PC's when they come in to the office with an issue, most of the new machines don't seemed to get clogged with dust like the old ones.

Keyboards...turn upside down...shake them...gets crumbs and small debris ouy...then remove enter key...compressed air for the slightly bigger bits.

Then the screens...not kidding...KFC hand wipes are the best things for them. I have not seen a single product that cleans better.

For desks, keyboard keys etc and cases...poundstretcher do some fantastic antibacterial wipes.

Total cost would be maybe £5 to clean a room sufficiently.

If you have the urge, you can pull all the keys off the keyboard, put them in a pillowcase and run them trough the washing machine. It brings them up lovely! Do it to a classroom set of computers and you've got a nice detention for an oik (sorting the keys out and putting them back). Nice job for a work experience type too! 2525+ keys should take them too long...
