Spiceworks - Exporting and importing from CSV?

Hi

 

We are starting to use spiceworks as our network inventory. I was wondering if anyone has found a way of exporting the information spiceworks gets on the network scans to something like a csv file. This would then allow me to bulk add device costs quickly in excel and then re-import it to spiceworks.

 

Is there a way to do this?

 

Just need to easily add the extra information we want each device to have.

 

I also need to import new devices via csv or something so for a batch of 50 new monitors i could just import a csv?

If you created a report in Spiceworks with the same layout as the CSV file in this how to, you should be able to export everything, updated it and re import. Use the -m option so it updates devices not recreate them. Only thing you need to look up is the column headings for the database for costs etc. Heard SQL Lite extension in Firefox can be used?

Hi the only bit i don't get is the -m option. Where would that go in the command i run?:

 

C:\Program Files (x86)\Spiceworks\pkg\gems\spiceworks-5.3.75941\bin>ruby bulk_import.rb -e EMAIL -p PASS test.csv
