Middlesex : Assistant Systems Manager & Assistant Network Manager

Two vacancies have arisen in my department. These are new positions, to supplement the existing team, and need to be filled ASAP. Both positions are at £29,985.

 

Assistant Systems Manager - this is a position mostly covering back-end systems - SQL, VMWare, Citrix, other administration systems and services, and also assisting with helpdesk jobs and general IT duties.

 

Assistant Network Manager - this is a position mostly covering front-end systems - responsibility for the Helpdesk system and covering laptops, desktops, mobile devices and all other technologies in the school. There will be some overlap with administration systems and services as well.

 

Job specs are attached.. experience in an academic environment would be advantageous. These roles will be involved in most aspects of school IT, and will be a part of the decision making process for all projects and technology roll-outs. We all assist wherever necessary in the department, so role flexibility is required. IT here is a team thing!
