[sims] Sims linked documents

Hi

 

Please can you tell me if its possible to change all liked documents in sims to confidential automatically. The problem is that staff have not changed the drop down to confidential and left this public.

You could do it from the database / sql side. Not in the client. You'd have to contact your support team.

Are you sure you want them to be confidential, that limits it to a very small sub-group of people?

Just for reference, unless it's changed, confidential means the only default SIMS groups with access will be School Administrator, Senior Management Team and SEN co-ordinator.

It's worth bearing in mind, that many teaching staff will not see any documents, so if that patch does a blanket change, just be careful and backup first. I don't know how it affects default files like individual reports etc. but they are things people need to see. Also docs like medical notes etc. which might be useful to share will all become hidden, possibly even from the medical staff. It's worth checking the patch and doing a test if you have a test server.
