minature_hero Posted May 16, 2013 Posted May 16, 2013 Hi, We've just had a lamp blow on an old projector and instead of buying another lamp I was thinking of getting a Casio LED as a trial to see what they are like. I just wondered if anyone has some kind of a template for where the ceiling mount screw holes are on the underside of the device? I want to see if I can modify our existing ceiling mounts easily by drilling new holes out to accept the Casio unit. The existing mount is a projector specific metal plate 240mm x 110mm. I could get a universal mount - but if I can reuse the original mount by a small modification this would be preferred. Thanks for your help
VeryPC_Colin_F Posted May 16, 2013 Posted May 16, 2013 Hi Minature_hero By the sounds of it you would be better getting a universal plate for the casio - Which casio LED is it? Also do you know the mkae and model of the current palte you have? Col
IrritableTech Posted May 16, 2013 Posted May 16, 2013 (edited) Here is a picture of the underside of one of our XJ-A141's if it is of any use? Not exactly a template, but you could print it at the right size... The three holes and some basic measurements are included... https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/40158250/casio141bottom.jpg We've mounted these on all kinds of brackets. It's a very versatile projector due to its zoom range. Edited May 16, 2013 by IrritableTech
VeryPC_Colin_F Posted May 16, 2013 Posted May 16, 2013 Which Casio LED our you thinking of loaning? Is it the XJA or XJM Model? Col
minature_hero Posted May 16, 2013 Author Posted May 16, 2013 I'm looking at the XJ-A1410-UJ. I could get a uni-plate but I was trying to avoid it if it only meant drilling a couple of holes in the existing plate. Thanks for the pic, that's quite useful. Would you be able to measure the points between the mounting holes for me please if you have time? The distance between the left hole from the two holes on the right across at a right angle and the distance between the two right hand holes. Thanks for all your help.

Hopefully you should have what you need now. https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/40158250/casio141bottom.jpg
minature_hero Posted May 16, 2013 Author Posted May 16, 2013 Excellent! Thanks for your help there! That was just what I was after. It's not a biggy if you can't get me this but what is the distance of the left hole above the right hand hole. thanks
IrritableTech Posted May 16, 2013 Posted May 16, 2013 Less than 10mm I'd guess (its not close by right now).
rescate Posted August 18, 2013 Posted August 18, 2013 Some days ago I installed one of this projector and I want to let know to everybody the measurements for ceiling mounting. I use mm (milimeters) for the dimensions so, I hope this will help many people to make their own mount. I found, on the Internet, that these dimensions apply to all the CASIO XJ-A projector series, but I reserve my right to be wrong, so these measurements apply to a CASIO XJ-A141.
