We've recently started playing with mandatory Profiles in a effort to reduce the number of calls we get relating to corrupted profiles or profile issues.

The mandatory profile works fine. We've redirected AppData in GPO too.

During log in, everything works fine, no errors. AppData is created in the network location as expected.

If I pin a item to the Taskbar or Start Menu I can see the Shortcut is created in the correct folder in the redirected AppData.

If I log off then log back in the pinned item isn't reapplied. The shortcut is still in the redirected AppData, but it isn't applied by the OS.

Also, default pinned items like Windows Media Player, IE and Windows Explorer get duplicated.

Is there something else I need to do to make this work?

If i remember correctly, pinned items are stored in the registry (at least in XP) so you would need to pin what you want and then save the profile and then make it a mandatory profile.
