DOMAIN ADMIN PASSWORD CHANGE

HI, I have 12 servers , 3 of them are physical and 9 are VM, all of them on the same domain controller, i used the same domain administrator password on all of them, now i need to change the password and at the meantime i dont want to lock out the entire network while changing the password.

 

i was thinking to create a user with admin privilege under the domain, then turn off all the receivers except one that has the admin user i created, and change the password, is this a good idea to change the domain admin password.

Huh, do you mean the domain restore password? If it it just the domain admin one you should just be able to change it and it will replicate out through ad. If you have services using it you should setup a separate service account for them and you should have separate admin accounts anyway for tracking, also the core admin account has a few extra rights that you really don't want to have accessible for everyday administrating.
