CAM Posted April 15, 2013 Posted April 15, 2013 One of my biggest bugbears with Windows Phone 8 is that notifications seem to lag the lock screen. With them disabled nothing happens, with notifications turned on it can take up to 10 seconds for the screen to appear after pressing the power button. Does anyone else get this? Oddly it will work OK for a day or so with notifications on then suddenly the lock screen delay starts. Disabling lock screen notifications fixes it.
HMCTech Posted April 15, 2013 Posted April 15, 2013 Had a Lumia 920 since December and never had this issue. I assume you mean the icons on the lock screen or the larger informative one you can pick such as email or text message?
CAM Posted April 15, 2013 Author Posted April 15, 2013 Not sure. I turn all of them off and the lock screen speeds up. Still lagged a bit just now though when there was no reception and that was with notifications turned off. Worried it's the phone now, it's a Lumia 620.
HMCTech Posted April 15, 2013 Posted April 15, 2013 You could head over to Nokia Lumia 620 - Windows Phone Central Forums and see if anyone has the issue with a fix but yes it sounds like your phone has an issue either with software or hardware as that is not normal behaviour. 1
CAM Posted April 15, 2013 Author Posted April 15, 2013 I restarted the phone and not only did it suddenly connect to the phone network, the lock screen became almost instantaneous. Something slowing the phone down.
