Yeo695 Posted February 21, 2013 Posted February 21, 2013 Smart says the Notebook 11 should be run on CPU: Pent 4 (2.80ghz) or better? Is this 100% true? I have a 2.1ghz laptop and it runs but border lines crashing if i do anything to tasking in notebook. Could I go for something dual core around 2.4 or 2.6 ghz and run anything? Also I meet all the other reqs and then some just not cpu. Thanks
Yeo695 Posted February 25, 2013 Author Posted February 25, 2013 Solved this on myself through trial and error. The 2.8 ghz is a tad bit over kill. I was able to run notebook 11 and other typical programs happily at 2.5 ghz on with 2 cores.
mavhc Posted March 22, 2013 Posted March 22, 2013 P4's clockspeed is not equiv to other clock speeds, clock speeds are pretty much worthless now
jallsop Posted March 22, 2013 Posted March 22, 2013 Hi, Although processor is important, RAM is key for smart notebook. I recommend 4GB min to run smart 11 ok, and without serious lag.
