FN-GM Posted February 13, 2013 Posted February 13, 2013 Hi, I am migrating a Server 2008 R2 file server to a Server 2012 file server. I want to move all the quotas and file screens over. I have found some stuff to move over Quota Templates but we have a good number of users who have been manually over-ridden. Anyone have any thoughts please? Thanks
FN-GM Posted February 19, 2013 Author Posted February 19, 2013 But how would I transfer it over please?
SYNACK Posted February 19, 2013 Posted February 19, 2013 File and Storage Services: Migrate the File and Storage Services Role Q. I have quotas and file screens defined using File Server Resource Manager (FSRM) on my Windows Server 2003 R2 cluster. What's the correct way to migrate them to a Windows Server 2008 R2 cluster?
FN-GM Posted February 19, 2013 Author Posted February 19, 2013 They only export the templates, they will not move over individually edited quotas.

BenPenney Posted March 11, 2016 Posted March 11, 2016 Take a look at my post here https://sysadminben.wordpress.com/2016/03/11/migrate-fsrm-quotas-using-powershell-to-2012-r2-simple-version/ Run the powershell script on the 2008 FSRM server Run the output from that script on the new 2012 FSRM server
