CHM-ITServices Posted February 11, 2013 Posted February 11, 2013 (edited) I'm after a litle help with a strange issue... Windows server 2008r2 Windows 7 Professional Both are new, clean installs. The Home folder has been setup using the following guide... Best Practice: Roaming Profiles and Folder Redirection (a.k.a. User State Virtualization) Now, the issue is, when a user logs in for the first time the redirected folders (Desktop, Documents, Music, etc...) don't appear in the users home folder...at first glance (see attachment 1). If i 'show hidden files' the folders are there (attachment 2). Redirection is working, i can save a file on the desktop and it does appear in the hidden desktop folder. Even stranger is, the folder a create on the desktop isn't hidden. I can right click on the folders and untick the 'Hidden Attribute' but i don't fancy doing it everytime i create a home folder! Any help would be greatly appreciated. Edited February 11, 2013 by Jam_lane
Patrickv Posted February 12, 2013 Posted February 12, 2013 Is this an isolated incident to one user, or is affected on all users, Because that is odd and sneaky to hide stuff like that.
SYNACK Posted February 12, 2013 Posted February 12, 2013 I could be inheriting it from the top level folder, does it have read only set?
