Mark182 Posted October 18, 2014 Posted October 18, 2014 I have updated all the schools Imacs over the weekend from mavericks to Yosemite. When a new user logs it its giving me the "sign in with your apple ID” screen. I know the students can press skip and it’ll load fine but is there a way to cut this out using Profile Manager or WGM? Cheers.
pchristl Posted November 10, 2014 Posted November 10, 2014 I was wondering if you happened figured out a workaround to bypass/disable the "Sign in with your Apple ID" setup screens. I would like to deploy an updated image across campus and I too would prefer not to have the students have to go through the initial user setup while using there LDAP account. Thanks in advance for any assistance you would be able to provide. Patrick
Arthur Posted November 10, 2014 Posted November 10, 2014 I think this is what you need... http://derflounder.wordpress.com/2014/10/16/disabling-the-icloud-and-diagnostics-pop-up-windows-in-yosemite Alternatively you could try adding the .plist below to WGM. com.apple.SetupAssistant.plist LastSeenBuddyBuildVersion 14A389 DidSeeCloudSetup GestureMovieSeen none LastSeenCloudProductVersion 10.10 1
Mark182 Posted November 11, 2014 Author Posted November 11, 2014 We used the workgroup manager fix and it worked for us.
