I seem to remember reading that someone's already trialing a bazooka-launched device quite similar to this (how, exactly, you go about getting your camera ball back again after you shoot it a couple of hundered metres I'm not quite sure), and interestingly the device's shell is made by 3D printing - theoretically you could make a DIY one at home.
