FULL TIME IT SUPPORT TECHNICIAN

Salary: upto £24,472 per year

 

Our IT Support Technician will work as part of a supportive and friendly team to deliver first and second line support to staff and students in our school. Day to day duties will include troubleshooting and resolving issues for desktops, laptops, servers, tablets, projectors, smartboards and telecoms. You will ensure that an excellent standard of customer service is delivered at all times throughout the life cycle of all IT service requests as well as documenting steps taken to resolve issues. You will have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work well on your own or in a team. If you have a range of desktop, server hardware and software support skills, you could be just the person we are looking for.

You must have an understanding of:

 

• Microsoft Windows 7 & 8

• Microsoft Server 2008 & 2012

• Microsoft Windows Active Directory

• Group Policy Management

• Sophos anti virus (Enterprise Management Console)

• Software deployment using Group Policy & WPKG

 

Exposure in the following areas is desirable:

 

• Apple OS 10.9 Maverick

• Microsoft Sharepoint

• Microsoft Data Protection Manager

• Microsoft exchange

• Smoothwall UTM

• DNS & DHCP

• Papercut print management software
