The Kent Education Safeguarding Team have updated the ‘Online Safety for children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) ‘ for September 2017.

The document considers:

  • What is different for learners with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities?
  • Online safety messages
  • Education and training
  • Acceptable use rules
  • Engaging parents and carers
  • Policies and procedures
  • Technology and infrastructure
  • Reporting concerns
  • Useful Resources

Kent educational settings can consult with Rebecca Avery, Education Safeguarding Adviser (Online Protection) and/or Ashley Assiter, e-Safety Development Officer, regarding online safety.
