    Last I heard of (IANAL) the only thing MS care about is the key being legit, however downloading an iso from a 'less-than-reputable-source' may be risky.
    That being said, they (used to?) offer Win7 iso's for free (that's how I formatted my machine), so maybe they do with Vista?

    They do not.

    I was looking for one as well. I can't even find a clean ISO on teh bay.

    Digital river have all the downloads (official ones too). Just need product key as they're only images, not cracked etc

    Windows Vista Direct Download Links

    Ultimate disk should give option to install all of them.

    Installing SP2 plus IE9 and all of the post-SP2 hotfixes takes ages, especially considering a lot of the laptops and desktops that came with Vista Basic were massively underspecced too.

    I suppose it's better than nothing though.
